Vurderingsprocessen indebærer vurdering af kortets tilstand, ægthed og generelle kvalitet. Målet er at give en standardiseret og upartisk vurdering af et korts tilstand, især dets fysiske tilstand.

De vigtige aspekter ved grading inkluderer:

• Gradingfirmaer: Several reputable grading companies exist, such as PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), Beckett Grading Services (BGS), and SGC (Sportscard Guaranty). These companies employ experts who meticulously inspect and grade each card.
• Grading Skala: Graded cards typically receive a numerical grade on a scale, often ranging from 1 to 10, with higher numbers indicating better condition. Additionally, grading companies may assign subgrades to different aspects of the card, such as centering, corners, edges, and surface.
