Graded Kort

  • Gradingfirmaer: Several reputable grading companies exist, such as PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), Beckett Grading Services (BGS), and SGC (Sportscard Guaranty). These companies employ experts who meticulously inspect and grade each card.
  • Grading Skala: Graded cards typically receive a numerical grade on a scale, often ranging from 1 to 10, with higher numbers indicating better condition. Additionally, grading companies may assign subgrades to different aspects of the card, such as centering, corners, edges, and surface.
  • Autentificering: Grading companies also authenticate the card to ensure its legitimacy. This is particularly crucial for valuable and rare cards, as the grading process helps prevent counterfeiting and ensures that collectors are getting authentic items.
  • Indkapsling: Graded cards are often encapsulated in a protective holder, commonly known as a slab. The slab not only protects the card but also displays the grade and other relevant information. The use of slabs helps maintain the card's condition and provides a clear indication of its grade.
  • Markedsværdi: Graded cards are often considered more desirable by collectors, and they can command higher prices in the market compared to their ungraded counterparts. The assigned grade provides a quick reference for the card's quality, aiding buyers and sellers in transactions.
  • Kortets Stand: Graders assess various factors when determining a card's grade, including the sharpness of corners, the absence of creases, the quality of the card's edges, and the overall cleanliness of the card's surface.
